The Series 1 was designed by Shelby American and was manufactured at the company’s facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The carbon-fiber and fiberglass laminate bodywork is mounted on an aluminum chassis, and this example is finished in Centennial Silver with Garnet Red Metallic stripes. The car is equipped with a black soft top and front fog lights as well as fender vents, a rear-center-mounted fuel cap, and dual exhaust tips. A chip is visible on the passenger door, and the selling dealer reports that the power-antenna does not fully retract.
Multi-piece 18″ wheels wear Shelby-logo center caps and are wrapped with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires that measure 265/40 up front and 315/40 out back. The car features a motorsport-derived pushrod suspension, and stopping power is provided by gray-finished four-piston calipers.
The interior features bolstered seats with black leather upholstery, gray inserts, and embroidered Carroll Shelby signatures. Carbon-fiber trims the shift knob, and amenities include air conditioning, a Monsoon stereo with cassette and CD players, Shelby-branded floor mats, and power windows and locks. The seller reports that a replacement seat was installed for additional room during previous ownership, and the removed seat is included in the sale.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 152 miles, approximately 25 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The dashboard-mounted plaque bears the serial number CSX5102.
The Oldsmobile-sourced 4.0-liter Aurora L47 V8 was rated at 320 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque in Series 1 trim, and the engine bay features carbon-fiber accents. According to the selling dealer, the fuel pump, injectors, and battery were replaced in preparation for the sale, and the previously installed parts are included in the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle made by RBT with ZF components. A stainless-steel Borla exhaust system was original equipment, and additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
Manufacturer’s literature, promotional materials, historical documents, a Shelby-branded Series 1 jacket, and two keys are also included in the sale.
