The body-color wire wheels wear chrome Packard hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with 7.00-19 Lester whitewall bias-ply tires. Matching spare wheels mounted in both front fenders feature chrome-accented covers topped by side mirrors. The Custom Eight rode on a 140½” wheelbase and features front and rear semi-elliptical leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by mechanical drums at all four corners.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in tan cloth along with a matching headliner and door panels, while color-coordinated carpets line the floors. Equipment includes wood dash and window trim, a Jaeger eight-day, clock, a robe cord, and a rear window shade, and rear footrests. The driver’s seat is torn, and the AM radio does not work.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a dash panel housing a barrel-type speedometer, an ammeter, and gauges for water temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 70k miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The 384.8ci straight-eight features nine main bearings, and it was factory rated at 106 horsepower at 3,200 rpm. An oil change and a coolant flush were performed by the selling dealer in July 2023. The car is titled by its engine number, 179626.
