Steel 16″ wheels wear polished trim rings and Jaguar-branded hubcaps. Stopping is provided by four-wheel drum brakes that were serviced in May 2021 with a replacement brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake shoes. Replacement leaf springs have reportedly been installed under current ownership.
The interior features black upholstery on the seats along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, passenger grab handle, and lap belts. There is a tear in the driver’s seat.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, and approximately 30k miles have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter inline-six features dual SU carburetors, polished valve covers, and was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. A stainless steel gas tank and modern starter have been installed, the engine was reportedly rebuilt in the early 2000s, and the electrical system was converted to 12 volts.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside images are provided in the gallery.
A Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate is included with the sale and lists the engine, gearbox, chassis, and body numbers along with a manufacture date of November 20, 1952.
