Delivered from the factory in white, the Reutter-built bodywork received a repaint in its current black during previous ownership. Features include sealed-beam headlights with stone guards, gold lettering, a Reutter badge riveted to the right-front fender, a low windshield, quadruple beehive taillights, body-color bumpers, and a single engine lid vent. The black soft top features a plastic rear window.
The 15″ painted steel wheels wear polished baby moon hubcaps and are mounted with Vredestein Sprint S80 tires. A matching spare wheel is mounted in the front trunk. Koni Red shocks are fitted at all four corners, and stopping is handled by four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. The fuel tank was drained by the selling dealer in 2020.
The cockpit features fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in black leatherette with red piping, along with matching upholstery on the doors and over top of the black-painted dash. The seatbacks are covered in salt-and-pepper square weave carpeting, which also lines the footwells and sills, while black rubber mats cover the floors.
The gray steering wheel features a full horn ring and frames a green-lettered VDO 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 4,500-rpm redline, and a Störk oil temperature gauge. Just over 69k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, a handful of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 1.6-liter 616/2 flat-four wears engine stamp P*81044* and was originally built for a 1957 356. Valve and carburetor adjustments were performed by the selling dealer in 2020, along with the installation of a cold start relay and a rebuild of the starter.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle.
The Porsche Product Specifications certificate lists original colors and powertrain information. A narrated walk-around and drive video is viewable below along with cold start footage.
