The red interior was redone by Stuttgart Upholstery of Phoenix, Arizona, and features replacement red leather upholstery with matching door panels, oatmeal carpeting, and rubber floor lining. Safety belts are fitted for the front occupants, and the body-color dashboard is adorned with a placard commemorating participation in the 2019 Porsche 356 Registry High Desert Holiday.
VDO instrumentation built by Palo Alto Speedometer includes a 6k-rpm tachometer flanked by a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 2k miles; total mileage is unknown.
The air-cooled flat-four is said to have been sourced from a 912 model and was reportedly rebuilt using a lightweight crankshaft and replacement cylinders to displace 1,720cc. Additional features include a pair of Solex carburetors rebuilt by 356 Carburetor Rescue, a Bosch ignition coil, and a pair of Magnaflow mufflers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle that has reportedly been rebuilt by Arizona Transaxle of Phoenix, Arizona, and is equipped with a “Freeway Flyer” fourth gear. Undercoating was applied to the underside during prior ownership, and additional photos presented in the gallery further depict the underbody, driveline, and exhaust.
