Chrome 15″ wire wheels secured by two-eared knock-off nuts wear 165/80 Classic All Season Radial LL800 tires that are said to have been mounted in 2019. A spare with a matching wire wheel is housed in the trunk. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. The rear springs and shocks were replaced during the refurbishment in 1991.
The cockpit features 2+2 seating upholstered in blue vinyl with white piping as well as a matching dash pad and door panels and faded blue carpeting. Features include a heater, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a passenger grab handle, and quick-release race-style lap belts.
A banjo-style steering wheel mounted atop an adjustable steering column fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 85k miles.
The replacement 2.9-liter inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes dual SU carburetors and a cast aluminum valve cover. The seller reports that a PerTronix Flame Thrower electronic distributor was installed in 2017 and an oil change was performed in 2021. Oil leaks from the engine and transmission are noted.
