The T5 356B Roadster was bodied by Drauz Karosseriewerke in Heilbronn, Germany. This example came finished from the factory in Ivory (6004) and features a convertible top, a red boot cover, fender-mounted mirrors, body-color bumpers with chrome overriders, a single decklid rear grille, stainless steel side spears and rocker panel trim, and dual exhaust outlets. The selling dealer notes that the lower front valance and a portion of the front trunk lid were repainted during prior ownership. The rear bumper is said to fit closer to the body on the left side, and areas of rust are noted on both lower front fenders. Paint meter readings are provided in the gallery, along with close-up photos of paint chips, scratches, and other blemishes.
Silver-finished 15″ ventilated steel wheels with chrome hubcaps are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. A full size spare is housed in the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes and the selling dealer notes that the brakes were adjusted and a brake fluid flush was performed in June 2022.
The interior features reclining bucket seats upholstered in red leatherette along with a color-coordinated upper dash pad, door panels, and square-weave carpeting. Additional features include sun visors, a heater, lap belts, a passenger grab handle, black rubber floor mats, and storage pockets. The selling dealer notes that the lower seat covers have been replaced.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination fuel level and oil temperature gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.6-liter flat-four sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Service in June 2022 is said to have included an adjustment of the distributor as well as engine and transmission oil changes.
The engine block stamping is viewable above.
Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
