Chrome 15″ steel wheels wear Porsche-logo hubcaps and were mounted with 195/60 Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires in July 2023. A spare wheel with an older tire is mounted in the front trunk. Koni Classic shocks are fitted, and stopping power is provided by finned drums at all four corners. In April 2023, the wheel cylinders were rebuilt and a brake fluid flush was carried out.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black leatherette. Salt and pepper carpets line the floors, and additional equipment includes latch-and-link Crow Enterprizes seatbelts, rubber floor mats, a heater, and an inoperable Blaupunkt radio. The headlight switch and relay wiring were repaired in April 2023, and the shifter coupler was also adjusted.
Instrumentation includes a central tachometer flanked by a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. An aftermarket oil pressure gauge is mounted in the dashboard. Approximately 63k miles are displayed on the five-digit odometer, and the total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 1.6L flat-four is equipped with dual Solex carburetors, a Bosch ignition coil, and an aftermarket muffler. Work in anticipation of the sale consisted of balancing the carburetors, replacing the spark plugs and fuel filter, and performing an oil change. Leaks are noted from the steering box and engine.
The engine was reportedly sourced from a 1963 Super 90 model and the stamping number is shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
A copy of the Kardex shows delivery to Bright Motors in Spokane, Washington, as well as the factory colors and powertrain numbers. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is also included with the car.
Driver’s and technical manuals are included in the sale along with a reproduction tool kit, a car cover, service records, and a battery tender.
