The fiberglass was repainted in Roman Red during the refurbishment, and additional details include color-matched fender coves, aluminum rocker-panel moldings, and “Fuel Injection” badging on each fender as well as quad round taillights and creased rear fenders that carried over to the C2 Corvette.
The car is equipped with a white soft top that is shown in its raised position in the gallery. Painted 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps with faux spinners and Firestone thin-whitewall tires.
The cabin is outfitted with a dashboard, bucket seats, and door panels clad in black vinyl. The center stack houses heater and defroster controls, a Wonder Bar AM radio, and an analog clock. The car is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel and a chrome shifter with a T-handle reverse lockout, and lap belts are provided for both occupants.
Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer along with a centrally oriented 7k-rpm tachometer flanked by gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer indicates 600 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
Equipped with a rebuilt Rochester mechanical fuel injection unit, the 327ci V8 was rated by Chevrolet at 360 horsepower when new. This example is equipped with a Harrison aluminum radiator and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. An engine dress-up kit has been installed by the seller, who notes the fuel injection unit and fuel pump was rebuilt, the spark plugs were replaced, and fluid changes were completed in preparation for the sale.
The engine stamping shown above includes the digits 111072, which correspond with the final six digits of the vehicle’s serial number. The RF suffix corresponds with a fuel-injected 327ci V8 paired with a manual transmission. A photo in the gallery displays part number 7017360 on the Rochester fuel injection unit, and the engine casting number 3782870 is also pictured.
Several underside images are included in the gallery and display the exhaust system, axle rebound straps, suspension, and frame.
