According to John Mahoney, the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America’s technical advisor for early 1960s full-size cars, only 300 to 350 Golden Anniversary Impalas were ever produced. Every Golden Anniversary Impala received special code 927 gold paint and special trim code 891 yellow-gold vinyl bucket seats.
