The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The cabin is said to have been overhauled with reproduction dark blue vinyl seat covers, carpets, and door panels. Features include a heater, an AM radio, an analog clock, lap belts, and power windows.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames refurbished instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 400 miles, which is said to reflect the miles added since the refurbishment was carried out. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement 327ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt, overbored 0.030″, and installed in 2021. It features a four-barrel carburetor, finned Corvette-script valve covers, and a polished air cleaner assembly and ignition cover.
The pad of the replacement engine has been stamped with a serial number that matches the last six digits on the car’s serial number plate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an optional Positraction differential. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system.
