The ventilated chrome wheels wear hubcaps with colored Porsche crests and are mounted with 165SR15 Michelin XZX radial tires. A matching spare wheel is mounted in the front trunk. All five wheels feature 1962 date stamps and can be seen up close in the gallery along with photos of the black soft top and glass etchings. Koni Red shocks are fitted at all four corners, and braking is handled by finned drums.
The cabin features bucket seats and fold-down rear seats that were reupholstered in tan leather by Tom Black’s Garage in 1991. Tan square-weave carpets are fitted along with a black rubber floor mat and Coco Mats, and additional features include a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, a height-adjustable rear-view mirror, a heater, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows 88k miles, 50k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The air-cooled 1.6L Super flat-four features dual carburetors and was rebuilt by Heckmann & Thiemann Motors of Portland, Oregon in August 1995. An oil and filter change was reportedly performed in preparation for the sale.
Engine stamping *705020* matches the Kardex copy below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos are viewable in the gallery.
