The 1.6-liter Type 616/16 flat-four was rebuilt in 2007, and additional work included replacement of wiring that was damaged as the result of an engine fire. The carburetors were overhauled in 2014, and recent service included an oil change, valve adjustment, replacement of the valve cover gaskets, and cleaning of the fuel filters, screens and jets. The seller states that the engine backfires on cold starts.
