The car is said to have been involved in a rear-end collision under previous ownership, and the seller notes evidence of prior bodywork on the driver-side rear quarter panel. Factory 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps with Porsche crests and are mounted with 165-width Michelin XZX tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ATE disc brakes. A chrome-finished luggage rack is included in the sale.
The cabin features seats upholstered in black vinyl along with matching door panels and gray carpets. The dashboard has been wrapped in black vinyl, and a red finish is said to remain underneath. The seller notes that the AM/FM shortwave radio does not work, and a throttle pedal screw is damaged and will require replacement.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames a 200-km/h speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and ancillary gauges. The five-digit odometer is believed to have rolled over and now shows 8k kilometers (~5k miles). Total mileage is unknown. The seller notes that the speedometer needle stuck, though the odometer is operational. A factory steering wheel is include and pictured in the gallery.
The 1.6-liter Type 616/16 flat-four was rebuilt in 2007, and additional work included replacement of wiring that was damaged as the result of an engine fire. The carburetors were overhauled in 2014, and recent service included an oil change, valve adjustment, replacement of the valve cover gaskets, and cleaning of the fuel filters, screens and jets. The seller states that the engine backfires on cold starts.
