The 15″ Panasport Formula-One wheels feature polished lips and are mounted with 205/55 Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires. The Griffith features a tubular steel backbone chassis with a fully independent suspension. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood disc brakes. A replacement brake master cylinder was reportedly fitted approximately 1,500 miles ago.
The cockpit features low-back fixed bucket seats trimmed in gray leather with red piping. Red carpets line the floors, and additional equipment includes a rollbar, an open glovebox, and a Southern Safety Equipment four-point driver’s seat harness as well as a three-point passenger seat unit. There are stains on the headliner.
The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames an 8k-rpm tachometer, a Smiths 160-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. Spare Smiths auxiliary gauges are included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery. The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, 11k of which were added under the seller’s ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 289ci Ford V8 is fitted with Gurney/Eagle intake manifold and cylinder heads with magnesium valve covers as well as stainless steel headers. An engine overhaul is said to have been performed approximately 1,500 miles ago and included the installation of replacement bearings, piston rings, valves, gaskets, and seals, an Edelbrock gear drive kit, and a Holley carburetor. A custom aluminum radiator with an adjustable fan is fitted along with an Optima Red Top battery.
