Steel wheels wear polished trim rings and covers with painted body-color centers as well as Hankook Optimo white-stripe tires. A full-size spare wheel is housed in the trunk. Suspension updates in 2018 included installation of Bilstein shock absorbers, and additional replacement components included the idler arm, steering damper, drag link, sway bar bushings, and front tie rod assemblies. At the same time, the brake hoses were replaced and the system was bled.
Tan leather upholstery and trim were fitted in place of the factory green leather in November 2016 by Mountain Upholstery of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and the replacement leather is contrasted by green carpeting and wood dashboard trim. A rebuilt Becker AM/FM radio is housed in the dashboard, which also features tan padding, a clock, and an air-conditioning unit.
VDO instrumentation housed within a wooden instrument cluster includes a 7k-rpm tachometer and 140-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer reads 84k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 3.0-liter M189 inline-six features Bosch mechanical fuel injection and produced 170 horsepower when new, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Servicing by the owner included an overhaul of the generator, a conversion to an electronic ignition, servicing of the air-conditioning system, refinishing of the coolant tubes, and replacing the following components:
