Steel 13″ wheels with polished hubcaps are wrapped in 165-series Vredestein Sprint tires manufactured in 2014. The car is fitted with front disc and rear drum brakes, a MacPherson front suspension, and semi-trailing links out back, with coil springs all around.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black with matching door cards over replacement gray carpeting and floor mats. Interior equipment includes manual windows, lap belts, a fire extinguisher mounted in the rear footwell, and an AM/FM radio installed in the center stack along with a center speaker located behind a chrome grille.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 180-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a temperature gauge, and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer displays 69k kilometers (~43k miles), approximately 3,500 kilometers of which have been added under current ownership.
The 1,573cc inline-four is equipped with a single Solex downdraft carburetor and produced 85 horsepower when new. The seller reports that the engine belt was replaced and the car had a fluid service in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underbody are provided in the gallery below.
A BMW Classic certificate from April 2015 lists factory specifications and shows a manufacturing date of April 19, 1968.
A driving clip is presented above, and walk-around footage is provided below. A drive-by video is linked here, and footage of the gauges in operation can be seen here.
