The body was stripped to bare metal and repainted in its factory shade of Fathom Blue with a white “bumblebee” front stripe under previous ownership, according to the selling dealer. Additional features include a driver-side mirror, SS badging, faux hood vents, front and rear spoilers, and chrome trim on the bumpers, rocker panels, wheel arches, window surrounds, and door handles.
Chrome 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. A spare steel wheel with a Goodyear tire is stored in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted drum brakes. Additional images showing the car wearing the included set of body-color 15″ steel wheels with covers and redline tires are provided in the gallery.
The front bucket seats and rear bench were retrimmed in blue vinyl and the carpets were replaced under current ownership, according to the selling dealer. Woodgrain trim adorns the dashboard and center console, and additional interior equipment includes a push-button AM radio, a heater, a lockable glovebox, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel features an SS center emblem and fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline and an inset clock. Additional auxiliary gauges monitoring battery charge, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure are mounted in the center console ahead of the shifter. The five-digit odometer shows under 300 miles, approximately 40 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The 396ci L35 V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor along with a chrome air cleaner cover and valve covers. Work completed under current ownership reportedly included changing the oil, rebuilding the carburetor, and replacing the ignition wires.
The engine serial number stamp reads 19697, which matches the last five digits of the car’s VIN. The engine code ends in MW, which indicates an L35 396ci V8 for manual-transmission applications. Additional stamps and casting numbers are pictured in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.
