The overhauled cabin features bucket seats trimmed in white vinyl along with matching door panels and black carpets. Simulated woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and center console, and additional appointments include lap belts, hand-crank windows, a Hurst shifter lever, and a push-button radio.
Instrumentation includes a centrally mounted analog clock flanked by a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline. Auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, engine temperature, amperage, and fuel level are mounted on the center console. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles, with the actual total unknown.
The numbers-matching 302ci V8 was overhauled in August 2018, at which time the crankshaft, timing cover, push rods, rocker arms, water pump, harmonic balancer, crank pulley, and belts were replaced. The Holley 4053 carburetor is mounted on a refurbished ‘snowflake’ aluminum intake manifold, and a dual exhaust system is installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a numbers-matching Muncie M-21 four-speed manual transmission and a BU-stamped 3.73:1 rear axle with a Positraction differential. Additional underside images can be viewed in the gallery.
