Factory-finished in Fathom Green (57), the car received a repaint in its current shade of blue with white pinstripes over two decades ago. A replacement power-operated white soft top is fitted, and additional features include a black grill and trunk garnish molding, SS and 396 badging, Soft-Ray tinted glass, dual exhaust outlets, twin hood bulges, and chrome bumpers. The seller notes various scratches in the paintwork. A black tonneau cover is included in the sale.
The 14” wheels feature SS center caps with chrome trim rings and are wrapped in white-letter Goodyear Eagle GT II tires sized 215/70. Stopping power is provided by front discs with rear drums, and a full-size spare is found in the trunk. The seller notes that an incorrect brake master cylinder is installed.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets lined with rubber mats. Amenities include a center console, a heater, power-assisted steering, an aftermarket shifter, and a push-button AM/FM radio. Wear on the carpet and driver’s seat is noted by the seller.
A three-spoke wood-rimmed Sport steering wheel is mounted to a tilt column and sits ahead of instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge with a 7k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows just over 70k miles, approximately 20k of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown, and the seller reports that the analog clock is inoperable.
A period replacement 396ci L78 V8 block was reportedly re-stamped, rebuilt, and installed by the seller approximately two years ago. The removed carburetor, alternator, distributor, and cylinder heads are said to have been installed on the replacement motor. The radiator was refurbished last year, and photos of the engine prior to installation are included in the gallery.
Decoding the Fisher body tag reveals the following information:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction 4.10:1 differential. Rust is noted in the floors, and additional underbody images are provided in the gallery. Cold-start and walk-around videos are presented below, and a clip of the engine running is viewable here.
