With its original numbers matching engine, transmission, 2 build sheets, all original matching body numbers and tags and 75,000 actual well preserved miles this car is very rare. This car was built with no vinyl top which is very rare for an RT/SE, no head rests, a factory 8 track player, 3 speaker dash, 6 way adjustable driver seat, tic-toc-tach, console shifted 4 speed transmission, 3:54 posi traction Dana rear end and the largest displacement engine dodge ever placed in the Charger, the 440 Magnum. The original 440 engine is freshly rebuilt and looks like it did when new. We took full advantage of the huge technological advancements in camshaft design and modern light weight high strength pistons to build even more power and reliability. The engine was trusted to the legendary Don Baierl, the owner of Sharadon Performance. The engine was professionally broken in with Joe Gibbs break in oil on the Dyno at R&R performance by Ron himself. With over 27 years of running one of the busiest single dyno installations in the country he was impressed with the work Sharadon performance did. As his 8556th engine being tested he was surprised at how little fuel it used, the great vacuum it produces with the hot cam and the big increase in HP and Torque while it still looks stock. Without pushing it easily made near 425HP and made over 500ft lbs of torque under 3000RPM! The car has a new engine wire harness, its original goliath sized RT torsion bars, leaf springs, Magnum brakes, 055 26″ radiator which has been hot tanked and flow tested by D and L, 7 blade fan, shroud, mint 402 oil pan, valve covers, air cleaner, intake and exhaust manifolds, dual point distributor, new battery, mint original bell housing and resurfaced flywheel, new clutch, original shifter handle, knob, linkage and mechanism which is nice and tight, original tight z bar and all other original 4 speed parts that have been greased, lubed, adjusted and restored to perfection and are ready to go. New fuel system front to back including the carburetor, filter, pump, hoses, lines, sending unit and tank. The brake system has been completely rebuilt front to back including the master cylinder, correct reproduction lines and hoses down to all new wheel cylinders with a perfectly working parking brake. An all new correct reproduction exhaust system with factory style H crossover pipe and all the correct bends and dimples to mimic the factory system has been installed. It has the correct stainless steel rectangle RT tips with glass pack mufflers and could not sound better. It was clear that the original owner took great pride in preserving the condition of this low mile car which was in better condition before the restoration than 90% of Chargers are after restoration. This car has only been painted once. It is an all original sheet metal car with the addition of a new high quality AMD trunk pan and extensions which was done very carefully weld by weld to fit and appear untouched from the factory. The factory undercoating on the insides of the quarter panels as seen from inside the trunk remains original and looks new. The car has its original jack and jack base and an exceptional vintage spare tire. The body is rock solid clean, laser straight and square and the deep jet black paint is show quality clear coat with the appearance of a black mirrored sheet of glass. The bottom of the car is just as nice as the top. Lots of effort went into getting everything the correct colors, coating and finishes and is ran neatly just as factory new. The grille and grille frame are mint with new trim and the hideaway headlights open and close with the flip of the headlight switch. The car has new bumpers, door handles, a remote mirror, gas cap and bezel, antenna, rear tail panel end trim as well as a new windshield and gasket. The rest of the stainless trim has been polished to perfection including the original wiper arms, wheel well trim, glass trim and the original gold fender pentistar. All the gaps, lines and fitment are perfect. The hood, decklid and doors line up and open and close absolutely perfect. The windows roll up and down as new and the glass is in exceptional, very clear condition. Everything works down to the hood mounted turn signals. The interior is mint and has been redone with the correct SE leather upholstery by Legendary Auto interiors of New York. The American racing wheels and tires are new. If they are not what the buyer wants I have the original magnum 500 wheels and tires I can install before transport.
