The seller states that the car received metalwork involving replacement of the front and rear valances, taillight panel, driver’s floor area, and battery apron as well as both lower-rear door corners and the lower-rear corners of the rear wheel wells during the initial refurbishment. Most recently, the vehicle reportedly was stripped and refinished in 2016 in a hue said to match Blue Flame metallic, a late-model Ford color. Exterior features include a hood scoop, black hood accents, dual side mirrors, a black rear wing, a black tail panel, and black rear-window louvers. The rear valance has been welded and molded to the rear quarter panels, which feature modified side ducting. The exterior badging has been removed. The halogen headlamps have integral halo lighting, the lights in the front valance are wired as turn signals, and a third brake light and lighted license-plate frames have been added. Imperfections around the rear window and a touched-up paint chip are pictured in the gallery below. A windshield-washer system is not installed.
Chrome-finished U.S. Mags Rambler wheels measuring 15″ in front and 17″ at the rear wear 215/70 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T front tires and 275/50 M&H Racemaster rear rubber. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. Global West steering components and control arms have been installed along with adjustable front shocks, 428 Cobra Jet–style rear springs, and subframe connectors.
The cabin features Procar Sportsman Pro Series 1615 front bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl. The folding rear seat is impeded by a body-color 10-point roll cage. Interior appointments include five-point harnesses, a replacement dashboard, power windows, a retro-style radio, aftermarket climate control with air conditioning, and custom switchgear. Fire extinguishers are mounted both in the cabin and in the trunk. The trunk is fitted with an electrically actuated lock, and the light inside the trunk does not work.
An aftermarket steering wheel frames AutoMeter Pro-Comp instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a programmable tachometer, and gauges monitoring vacuum pressure, coolant temperature, transmission temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows just under 700 miles. Approximately 17k miles are said to have been added in 28 years of current ownership, and true chassis mileage is unknown.
The V8 engine is said to be a Ford 460 that has been modified with a Scat Crankshafts stroker kit to displace 557ci. Equipment reportedly includes a Blue Thunder Auto intake manifold, a pair of 600-cfm Holley four-barrel carburetors, Air Flow Research aluminum cylinder heads, MSD ignition, March Performance pulleys and brackets, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans. The firewall has been smoothed, the climate-control hoses and the wiring are routed through the fender wells, and the wiring harness has been replaced.
The TCI Automotive C6 three-speed automatic transmission is said to be equipped with a manual/auto valve body, an R-code servo, and a 2,800-rpm stall converter. A nodular rear-end third member has a Daytona pinion-bearing support and a Yukon Grizzly Locker limited-slip differential. The dual exhaust system features Magnaflow mufflers and electronically controlled cut-outs.
Spare parts that will accompany the vehicle include a grille with headlight doors, reverse lights, A-pillar interior trim, a rear seat, a window regulator, gaskets, and touch-up paint.
