The car was delivered new in Rallye Green and wore various paint schemes during its years as a drag car. In 2012 it was disassembled, placed on a rotisserie, and a two-stage repaint was carried out. Features include a matte black fiberglass lift-off hood with four pins, “440 6BBL” graphics, Road Runner badging, quad headlights, and chrome bumpers. Black 15″ wheels are secured with chrome lug nuts and wear General Altimax tires. The steering, suspension, and brakes were overhauled during the refurbishment, and front discs were also installed.
The cabin was refreshed during current ownership and features front and rear bench seats trimmed in black vinyl upholstery with textured seating surfaces. Equipment includes a heater, black carpets, an AM radio, front and rear lap belts, and a Hurst shifter topped with a white “cue-ball” shift knob.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, while aftermarket gauges are housed below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 7,700 miles, approximately 100 of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 440ci V8 was rebuilt and installed in 2015 and is equipped with three two-barrel carburetors. An electric fuel pump has been installed, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed manual transmission and a Dana 60 rear axle with 4.10:1 gears. The transmission and rear axle were rebuilt during the refurbishment.
