The body was refinished in Monte Carlo Red (905) single-stage paint by GA Coachworks in San Diego, California. The refurbishment included stripping the body to bare metal, straightening the factory panels, rust repair, and refinishing the trim. The grille and taillight surround were refinished in gray metallic.
Slotted 14″ alloy wheels are fitted with Yokohama Avid Touring S tires. The refurbishment included powder coating the suspension, replating the hardware, installing polyurethane bushings, and rebuilding the front disk and rear drum brakes.
The refurbished interior features bucket seats that were reupholstered in factory black vinyl joined by diamond-stitched vinyl along the transmission tunnel and rear cargo area. The matching dashboard, carpets, door panels, and rear interior panels were replaced during the refurbishment, which was reportedly performed by Arjays Upholstery in Chula Vista, California. Amenities include a rear window defroster, locking glovebox, center console, a rosewood shift knob, and a factory push-button AM/FM radio with a power antenna. The removed factory door panels are included in the sale.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are fitted in the center stack along with an analog clock. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added by the seller.
The numbers-matching 2.4-liter L24 inline-six was refurbished and is equipped with replated hardware, replacement hoses, and refinished SU carburetors. The seller notes that the smog equipment was removed under previous ownership.
Engine block stamping L24 008124 matches the number shown on the data plate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. An aftermarket rear differential mounting bracket was installed, and the removed factory differential strap is included in the sale. Additional underbody photos are shown in the gallery below.
