The 14″ steel wheels wear Series I five-spoke covers and are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. A matching spare wheel with an older Bridgestone tire is mounted beneath the cargo floor. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cockpit features bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with grommets in the lumbar, which are complemented by color-coordinated door panels and diamond-patterned material on the center tunnel and cargo area sides. The dashboard is said to have been refurbished in the 2010s by Just Dashes of Van Nuys, California, and replacement seat bottom cushions and carpets were also fitted at that time. Amenities includes a Hitachi AM radio, a wood shift knob, and a map light.
The woodgrain-trimmed steering wheel wears a Datsun-branded horn button and frames a 160-mph speedometer as well as a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level are housed atop the center stack along with a clock. The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles and is said to have rolled over. Approximately 230 miles have been added under the seller’s ownership, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.4-liter L24 inline-six, retains a metal fan, features twin side-draft carburetors, and was rated at 151 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine was overhauled during the refurbishment, and engine stamping 4080 can be seen in the gallery.
The engine block is stamped “L24-4080” which matches the chassis plate showing in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
