Refurbishment work in 1995 reportedly included stripping old paint, replacing the front fenders, headlight buckets, nose panel, and body seals as well as refinishing the car in the original red (576). Exterior features include a replacement black convertible top, dual polished exhaust outlets, and a chrome grille surround, bumpers, and trim. An accident in 1999 resulted in the replacement of the trunk lid and the left quarter panel. Dings can be seen on the front bumper, and a removable Pagoda hardtop, stand, and cover are included in the sale.
The 14″ steel wheels wear hubcaps with body-color centers and are mounted with Kuhmo Solus KR21 tires. A full-size spare wheel and tire are housed in the trunk. Parts installed since 2019 reportedly include a replacement steering damper, drag link, idler arm bushing, tie rods, and Bilstein shocks.
The cabin is trimmed in black MB-Tex (131) with matching door panels and replacement GAHH multi-loop carpets. The body-color dashboard features a black upper pad as well as wood trim that was reportedly refinished in 2020. Other equipment includes an analog clock, manual wind-up windows, a glovebox, and a Becker Europa AM/FM radio.
Chrome-ringed VDO instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, engine temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 96k miles, approximately 13k of which were added by the seller. The speedometer was repaired in 2004, the speedometer cable was reportedly replaced in 2021.
The 2.8-liter M130 inline-six features Bosch mechanical fuel injection, and service in 2020 reportedly includes an oil change and lubrication of the chassis. The fuel injection pump was rebuilt and a valve service was performed in 2005.
Engine stamping 130983-10-006143 matches the number listed on the data card pictured below. A photo of the matching transmission stamping (005720) is also included in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The clutch slave cylinder, shifter bushing, and center differential mount are said to have been replaced in 2019. The seller states that the exhaust hangers were replaced in 2020 and that the transmission output shaft seal was replaced in 2021. A Timevalve stainless-steel exhaust system is fitted.
