Body-colored steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and white-letter Goodyear Polyglas G70-14 tires. A matching spare is housed in the trunk. The power-assisted braking system incorporate discs up front and drums at the rear, and power-assisted steering is also among factory options.
Front bucket and rear bench seats were reupholstered with black vinyl sourced from Legendary Auto Interiors during the project, which also included installation of a new color-matched headliner and carpeting as well as refurbishing the black lap belts. Woodgrain trim accents the door panels, dash, and console, the latter of which hosts an optional Hurst “His and Hers” shifter. Additional options include air conditioning, factory pushbutton AM/FM radio with the optional eight-track player, a Custom Sport steering wheel, Soft-Ray tinted glass, a remote hood lock, and courtesy lights. Reduced sound deadening was part of the W30 package.
Rocket Rally Pac instrumentation consists of a tachometer with an inset clock along with a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge monitoring fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, a handful of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The W30 package outfitted the 455ci V8 with a more aggressive camshaft, high-flow cylinder heads with a revised valvetrain, and an aluminum intake manifold. Additional features include a four-barrel Quadrajet carburetor with ram-air induction, a distributor distinct to the package, and a heavy-duty radiator.
Power is sent through a TH400 automatic transmission to an overhauled W27 aluminum rear end housing an anti-spin differential. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
The engine block stamping matches the final eight digits of the VIN, as does the transmission case stamping shown below. Also included are photos of transmission tag stamp 70-OW, engine block casting 396021F, an F casting on one of the cylinder heads, and axle housing casting number 406784.
A Rocket Report inspection was carried out on March 12, 2019, and the sale includes the results in a spiral-bound book as well as the Certificate of Authenticity above. The report comprises photos and interpretation of markings on the frame, engine, transmission, distributor, carburetor, and brake master cylinder as well as a general assessment of the car and a list of factory options.
