The 15” steel wheels feature polished covers and are mounted with 235/75 Firestone whitewall tires. A full-size spare is found in the trunk. Braking is through power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the car is equipped with power steering. Two spare shocks are included in the sale.
The cabin houses two rows of bench seats upholstered in dark green fabric and vinyl joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets protected by a rubber mat. Features include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, electric windows, faux wood trim, and lap belts for all occupants. The air conditioning system was recharged with R134a refrigerant in preparation for the sale, though the seller notes that it is inoperable during hard acceleration but resumes operation once the hard acceleration has ceased. An area of exposed seat piping is pointed out in the gallery, along with cracking finish surrounding an air vent and a split in the driver-side armrest. Various spare interior trim pieces will accompany the vehicle.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a drum dial 130-mph speedometer and warning lights. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 24k miles, around 125 of which were added by the seller. The fuel level gauge is inoperable. A spare steering wheel and steering column are included in the sale.
The 455ci V8 came equipped with a cold air induction system and performance camshaft as part of the W-34 package and was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The engine is said to have been rebuilt in the early 1990s. Work in preparation for the sale included an oil change and timing adjustment, as well as a refresh of the engine bay, a rebuild of the carburetor, and replacement of the water pump, fan clutch,, and fuel filter.
Power is delivered to the front wheels through a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transaxle that was overhauled in September 2022 by Anthony’s Transmission and Auto of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Additional underbody images are provided in the gallery below.
The window sticker shows the factory options, including the W-34 High Performance Package. Additional photos of the included delivery paperwork and manufacturer’s literature can be seen in the gallery.
