Polished 15″ Rally II wheels wear PMD center caps and are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A white letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The seller states the brake lines were rebuilt during the refurbishment.
The front bucket seats and rear bench were re-trimmed in pleated black vinyl, and the replacement carpets are protected by GTO-branded rubber floor mats. Engine-turned metal and woodgrain trim accent the dashboard, and additional equipment includes a center console, polished sill guards, front and rear seat belts, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The heater core is said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and an auxiliary combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles, approximately 2k of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 400ci V8 was rebuilt during the refurbishment and the seller notes that the cylinder heads were resurfaced and the camshaft was replaced. Additional work performed reportedly included re-coring the radiator, installing an electronic ignition, and replacing the wiring harness, fuel tank, and fuel lines. The seller notes an engine oil leak, and an oil change was performed in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
