Chrome-finished 15″ Fuchs-style wheels are wrapped in 195/60 Goodyear Eagle Sport tires manufactured in 2015. The car was equipped with Koni shocks from the factory, and disc brakes are fitted at all four corners.
The interior was reupholstered in March 2016 with replacement black leatherette (11), Dynamat sound insulation was added to the footwells, and the dashboard was replaced. The seller notes that the added Coolaire air-conditioning system is not currently functional, the trim is broken on the driver’s side, and both door pockets are uninstalled but are included in the sale. A Porsche Americana AM/FM/cassette stereo has been installed along with a MetroSound graphic equalizer mounted below the dashboard.
The wrapped steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer displays 18k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller.
The air-cooled 2.2-liter flat-six is equipped with dual Zenith carburetors. The spark plugs were replaced and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale, and the seller had the carburetors serviced by DeVito’s Porsche Service of Orange, California in March 2021. Service records from current ownership are included in the sale.
The number 6106838 stamped into the engine block matches what is shown on the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity. Serial number 7104698 on the transaxle is pictured in the gallery and also aligns with the CoA document.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle with a dogleg shift pattern. Additional photos of the underbody can be viewed in the gallery below.
