The replacement 2.0L twin-cam inline-four is equipped with SPICA fuel injection and was installed under prior ownership. The battery has been relocated to the trunk, and additional modifications include a stainless-steel exhaust header and a heat shield for the brake master cylinder. Work completed within the past 500 miles is said to have consisted of an engine and fuel-injection pump reseal and replacement of the head gasket.
