The front and rear valances were refinished, the rocker panels were resealed, and undercoating was applied to the wheel wells and floor in the mid-2010s, and the factory “automatic” badge was removed, the holes were plugged, and paintless dent removal and paint touch-ups were performed in 2018. The seller notes that the left door window requires adjustment, and areas of crazing on the hood as well as bubbling paint on the trunk lid and top edge of the right door can be viewed in the gallery.
Alloy 14” wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 195/70 Goodyear Integrity tires. The springs were replaced and Bilstein shocks were installed under current ownership according to the seller, who states that the tie rods and control arms were also replaced. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes up front and drums out back, and the system was serviced under previous ownership.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panels and brown carpets. The front seating surfaces were repaired in 2018 using material removed from the back of the seats and subsequently replaced. Additional appointments include air conditioning, power windows, an AM/FM cassette stereo, Coco floor mats, and wood accents on the dashboard and side panels. The seller notes that the seatbelt retractors require repair.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,200-rpm redline, a combination gauge, and a clock. The five-digit odometer is inoperative and shows 68k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The 2.8-liter M30 inline-six was fitted with twin Weber 32/36 DGAV carburetors and a PerTronix electronic ignition system in 2018. Service in November 2022 included recharging the air conditioning system and replacing the spark plugs and speedometer cable seal.
The car was equipped from the factory with a three-speed automatic transmission, and a Getrag five-speed manual transmission was retrofitted in 2018 along with a custom drive shaft. Patches on the left-side floor and corrosion on underbody components can be viewed in the gallery, and the seller states that corrosion was previously repaired in the rocker panels.
