A spare Fuchs wheel mounted with a 205/60 Michelin Energy tire showing a 2006 date code is found in the trunk, and braking is provided by four-wheel discs. The suspension was reportedly refurbished in October 2022.
The cabin features black leather front sport seats that are said to have been replaced under current ownership. A matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting are complemented by a push-button Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo. Other features include side vent windows, carpeted floor mats, and a heater.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation that includes a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, oil level, and oil temperature. The five-digit odometer shows just over 47k miles, approximately 2,500 of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 2.4-liter flat-six features mechanical fuel injection. The engine was removed and the top end rebuilt in 2013 by European Motorsports of Vista, California, and work included resurfacing the cylinder heads as well as replacing the pistons, cylinders, timing chains, guides, exhaust valves, and exhaust guides. The selling dealer states that the engine gaskets were replaced in October 2022, at which time a tune-up was performed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, and replacement shift-rod and cup bushings were installed in 2013. Additional underbody images are presented in the gallery, and corrosion is noted on some underside components.
The Porsche Classic Technical Certificate was issued by Porsche South Bay of Hawthorne, California in January 2020.
