Black-finish 15″ Fuchs-style wheels with bright lips wear 205/55 Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires that were installed in 2019. The front brake calipers were rebuilt in 2017, at which time rebuilt rear brake calipers were also installed. The front and rear swaybar bushings were replaced in 2021.
The cabin features Scheel Mann front bucket seats trimmed in black cloth joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes hand-crank windows, LED instrument lighting, and a retro-style stereo with an auxiliary input and Pioneer speakers. The front passenger seat does not have a headrest, the dashboard is cracked, and additional interior blemishes are shown in the gallery.
The MOMO Prototipo steering wheel frames a central 8k-rpm tachometer and a 150-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 26k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The clock and oil level gauge do not work. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.7-liter flat-six was rebuilt and enlarged to 2.9L by Chris’s German Auto Service of Redmond, Washington, in 2017, which included resurfacing of the cylinder heads, line boring of the engine case, and installation of LN Engineering 9.5:1 compression pistons and cylinders, Turbo-specification lower valve covers, and hydraulic timing chain tensioners as well as replacement valves, valve guides, bearings, seals, gaskets, head studs, spark plugs, ignition wires, and points as well as a new distributor cap and rotor, timing chain, and left-side later-style chain sprocket carrier. The ignition coil, fuel pump, and fuel filter were changed in 2020 and the battery was replaced in 2021. The seller notes a rough idle when cold and an oil leak.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle that was rebuilt with new synchros in 2017. Replacement heat exchangers and a Dansk exhaust muffler were also installed. The gear shift coupler and bushings were replaced in 2019, and the seller notes that first gear is difficult to engage when the car is cold. Corrosion on the underbody components is shown in the gallery.
