The seller notes that corrosion is visible on the underside of the floor pan, the paint is flaking inside the trunk, and bubbling and cracking are visible around the body. LED headlights are said to have been installed under current ownership, and additional features include dual side mirrors, polished window surrounds, and black rear bumper overriders.
Fuchs 15×6″ front and 15×7″ rear wheels were refinished by Wheel Enhancement of Los Angeles, California, in June 2018. Pirelli P6000 N3 tires measuring 195/65 up front and 215/60 out back were mounted in 2020, according to the seller. Modifications are said to include the addition of a Weltmeister front strut tower brace and sway bars as well as Bilstein struts, hollow torsion bars, Turbo tie rod ends, aluminum S-model front brake calipers, stainless-steel brake lines, and a 19mm primary brake cylinder. The rear brake calipers were replaced in 2016, and service in July 2018 included replacing the brake pads and rotors as well as replacing the front wheel bearings and seals.
The cabin features front bucket seats trimmed in black with textured inserts. The rear seats are accompanied by aftermarket seatbelts, and the headliner, sun visors, and carpets were replaced under prior ownership.
A three-spoke MOMO steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 33k miles, approximately 2k of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The factory 2.7-liter flat-six was replaced in 2005 with an engine sourced from a later 3.2 Carrera model that was reportedly assembled and installed by S.M. Motor Sports of New Hyde Park, New York. The engine was rebuilt to 3.4 liters with larger-bore cylinder sleeves and pistons and is said to be equipped with cylinder heads that were machined to accommodate a twin-plug conversion, though it is currently running one plug per cylinder.
