The body was removed the frame prior to being repainted in Singapore Gray in 2022. Additional work included refinishing the hardtop and aftermarket bumpers in satin black along with installing AMP Research power steps, Tom’s Bronco vent windows and handles, LED headlamps, Scott Drake billet aluminum taillamp housings, and Eddie Motorsports washers and stainless-steel bolts.
Teflon-coated 17″ American Racing ATX Series wheels are mounted with 285/70 Toyo Open Country M/T tires. The braking system features a Hydratech hydroboost setup and Wild Horses stainless-steel braided lines. The ride-height is reportedly raised using a Wild Horses 3.5″ suspension kit along with dual front shock hoops, Bilstein 5100 shocks, Wild Horses tie rods and drag links, and replacement bushings. A Lee Manufacturing power steering box with a 14.7:1 ratio is installed along with a replacement shaft and U-joints.
The interior features heated low-back front buckets with replacement cushions and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl along with a replacement headliner and Eastwood thermoacoustic sound deadening. Aftermarket audio components consist of a JL Audio stereo with Bluetooth capability as well as speakers and an amplifier. The HVAC system was refreshed with a Dakota Digital DCC-2200 electronic climate controller and a Vintage Air Mini-Gen 2 underdash unit. No windshield wiper motors are installed.
A Lecarra steering wheel is mounted to a Flaming River column and frames a Dakota digital combination gauge with a digital odometer showing 2,600 miles. Total mileage is unknown. Work performed under previous ownership included installing an Autowire Highway 15 wiring kit, a TIG- welded battery box with an Odyssey battery underneath the driver seat, and all-weather electrical connections.
The 302ci V8 is said to have been sourced from an early 1990s Ford Mustang and reportedly features an F1SE roller-cam block along with the following modifications:
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a reportedly rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission and a Wild Horses transfer case with a twin-stick shifter as well as front and rear axles said to have been overhauled and fitted with 3.55:1 gears. A Wild Horses Sherman 23-gallon fuel tank is fitted.
The frame was fitted with dual shock hoods and custom brackets before being powder-coated in black. Additional images showing the refurbishment are viewable in the gallery below.
