Center-lock 16″ BBS wheels with gold center sections are wrapped in Pirelli P7 Corsa Classic racing slicks. The car is equipped with an adjustable coilover suspension, a front strut-tower brace, and a rear sway bar with adjustable end links. Braking is handled by RSR-style finned calipers and cross-drilled rotors, and the front brakes are ducted. A brake fluid flush was performed in January 2023.
The cabin is fitted with a roll cage and a pair of Recaro bucket seats upholstered in black fabric. Additional equipment includes RS-style door panels, a dash-mounted Tilton brake bias knob, a drilled throttle pedal, an aftermarket shifter, and a racing harness for the driver.
The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 250-km/h speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 58k kilometers (~36k miles), approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 3.0-liter flat-six was reportedly sourced from a 1977 Turbo Carrera. The turbocharger was removed and the engine was fitted with twin-plug cylinder heads, Bosch mechanical fuel injection, and dual-butterfly throttle bodies with red intake trumpets. In preparation for the sale, Road Scholars changed the fluids, cleaned the fuel injectors, repaired the oil tank, and replaced the fuel filter.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a replacement 915 five-speed manual transaxle. A custom exhaust system has also been added, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
