Chrome-finished 16″ Fuchs-style wheels feature Porsche-crest center caps. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires measuring 205/55 up front and 225/50 out back were installed in July 2019. The car is equipped with black Porsche calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The cabin was originally trimmed in Lobster Red and now features seating upholstered in dyed brown cloth along with a matching dashboard and door panels. Additional equipment includes manually adjustable FloFit front seats, power windows, power door locks, a Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel, and a Sony CD stereo.
A Momo Montecarlo steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer as well as a 7k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and boost pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 25k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer wiring was repaired in 2017.
The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six reportedly was rebuilt in June 1990 by Bob Hindson Racing (BHR) of Kansas City, Missouri with approximately 44k miles showing on the odometer. The turbocharger was replaced in May 1998 by BHR at 52k miles. The engine was removed, resealed, and reinstalled during a $19,561 service performed by BHR in February 2017; a three-page invoice for the work is provided in the photo gallery below. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A B&B exhaust system reportedly was installed in March 2002 at 55k miles.
