The Giugiaro-designed unfinished stainless steel bodywork is fitted over a composite underbody and Lotus-derived double-Y steel backbone chassis. The Giugiaro-designed unfinished stainless steel bodywork is fitted over a composite underbody and Lotus-derived double-Y steel backbone chassis. Features include gray urethane bumper caps, counterbalanced gullwing doors, a louvered engine cover, dual exhaust outlets, black side stripes and moldings, quadruple headlights, and a front spoiler.
Staggered-diameter 14″ and 15″ turbine-style aluminum wheels are mounted with Hankook Kinergy ST tires. Stopping power is provided by ventilated disc brakes at each corner, and work in preparation for the sale has included resurfacing the brake rotors, refinishing the calipers, and replacing the flex hoses and master cylinder. The steering system was also overhauled in February 2022, a process that included replacing various bushings, boots, and hardware.
The high-back bucket seats are upholstered in gray leather, and interior amenities include air conditioning, a cassette stereo, power-operated windows, central locking, power-adjustable side mirrors, and a tilting and telescoping steering column. Recent work has included replacing the headliner and installing DeLorean-branded floor mats.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 3,700 miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The rear-mounted 2.85-liter PRV V6 was factory rated at 130 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque. Recommissioning work in preparation for the sale has included overhauling the fuel system, cooling system, and electrical system as well as replacing the air filter, oxygen sensor, and spark plugs. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle, and the clutch master cylinder was replaced in preparation for the sale. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
