Alloy 15″ American Racing wheels were refinished in black and wear 32×11.5″ Cooper Discoverer tires. The spare tire is mounted on a steel wheel bolted to a swing-away rear carrier. The truck is equipped with Old Man Emu leaf springs, Bilstein shocks, manually locking front hubs, power steering, front disc brakes, and stainless steel brake lines. The brakes were overhauled during the build, and the seller states that the power steering pump, steering box, steering damper, drag link, and tie rods were replaced.
The cabin is equipped with replacement black leather seats, body-color sheet metal, and spray-on floor lining. Additional appointments include a wood-rim steering wheel, lap seatbelts, a passenger grab handle, an aftermarket stereo head unit, and billet transfer case shift knobs. Service during the refurbishment reportedly included rebuilding the steering shaft, tilt steering column, and heater box as well as replacing the blower motor, resistor, cables, and knobs.
An aftermarket speedometer, tachometer, ammeter, and boost gauge are mounted in a powder-coated stainless steel dash panel. The instrument wiring has been replaced, and the five-digit odometer shows 10 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
A 1.9-liter Volkswagen BRM turbodiesel inline-four has been installed. Service prior to and during the installation reportedly included resealing the engine, rebuilding the radiator, installing a VHT-17 turbocharger, air-to-water intercooler, stainless steel exhaust system, Bosch starter, electric fans, and a Tunezilla ECM tune, and replacing the following:
The five-speed Aisin-Warner AX15 transmission, Dana 30 front axle, AMC 20 rear axle, and twin-stick Dana 300 transfer case were rebuilt during the refurbishment. A Coty Built adapter plate was used to mate the engine with the transmission, and custom Tom Wood’s driveshafts are fitted. The rear driveshaft is equipped with a double Cardan joint at the transfer-case end.
