Black 16” x 7″ front and 16″ x 8″ rear Euromiester Fuchs-style wheels wear polished lips and are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE71R tires that measure 205/55 up front and 225/50 out back. Suspension components include Bilstein HD shocks up front and Bilstein Sport rear shocks, Eibach three-way adjustable sway bars, Elephant Racing rear sway bar reinforcements, sway bar bushings, Redline HD strut tower bushings, turbo tie rods, and steering rack spacers. Maintenance under current ownership has included installing rubber brake lines and a brake fluid flush.
The interior features black leather upholstery on the seats and door panels joined by a matching dashboard and black carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, a Blaupunkt Monterey stereo, power windows, and cruise control. The seller notes that the radio works though the connection to the speakers is intermittent, and that the car includes two keys including a gold 917-style key made by KeyLow.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 170-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows just over 78k miles, approximately 5k of which were added by the seller. The analog clock is noted as running slow.
The 3.0-liter flat-six underwent a partial rebuild in December of 2020 at Göritz SIXFIX in Costa Mesa, CA. The work included refinishing the heads and the fan, zinc plating of metal components, installing replacement valve guides, Mahle Euro compression pistons and cylinders, 993 Twin Turbo head studs, rocker arms, fuel injectors, and a clutch kit including refinishing the flywheel and fixing miscellaneous oil leaks. A replacement shift coupler, shifter bushings, and a replacement engine lid strut have also been installed. Approximately 800 miles has been added since the rebuild and it is recommended a break in service be completed at 1,000 miles. Carrera chain tensioners and an airbox pop-off valve were installed under prior ownership. Photos taken during the engine work and records documenting the service are viewable in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. An M&K stainless steel muffler has been installed, and the original muffler is included in the sale. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows factory colors and equipment, engine and transaxle numbers, and lists a production completion date of August 7, 1983.
