Three-piece 18″ Speedline-style wheels wear Pirelli P ZERO ROSSO tires measuring 235/40 up front and 285/30 out back that were mounted in 2019. M491-specific equipment includes Turbo-specification brakes, anti-roll bars, trailing arms, and torsion bars, and the seller states that the shocks were replaced in 2022.
The cabin features front seats upholstered in red leather along with color-coordinated door panel inserts. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, and power windows. An Alpine stereo and Coco floor mats have been installed. The air conditioning system does not work properly.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership. The Quarz clock does not function.
The 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six was factory rated at 202 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists a production completion date of December 2, 1985, as well as powertrain numbers, factory colors, and optional equipment. Photos of the corresponding engine and transaxle stamps are provided in the gallery below.
