Factory 16″ Fuchs wheels feature black centers with colored Porsche-crest center caps and wear 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Dunlop Sport 9000 tires that were mounted in 2004. The brake calipers were rebuilt, the rear rotors were replaced, and the brake fluid was flushed in 2014. Replacement front shock inserts were installed in May 2017, and service performed in preparation for the sale included an alignment and fitting Turbo-specification tie rods and Elephant Racing control arm bushings, along with replacement front sway bar bushings.
The cabin features seats upholstered in black leather, along with matching carpets protected by Porsche-branded floor mats. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a Blaupunkt CD stereo. The removed Blaupunkt Monterey stereo, amplifier, and ‘gooseneck’ graphic equalizer are included in the sale and shown in the gallery below.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central 7k-rpm tachometer, a 170-mph speedometer, a quartz analog clock, and gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, oil level, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 81k miles, approximately 1k of which were added during current ownership.
The 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six was overhauled in 2006, which included replacement of the timing chains, head gaskets, valve springs, valve guides, main bearings, rod bearings, rocker arms, piston rings, fuel lines, and more. The fuel pump, DME relay, and alternator were replaced in 2017, and service performed in preparation for the sale included an oil change and replacement of the battery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The shift linkage was rebuilt and replacement bushings and couplings were installed in 2014, and the CV boots were replaced in 2020. A test pipe is fitted in place of the catalytic converter, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.
