The 15″ basketweave wheels wear BMW center caps and 205/55 Kumho Ecsta tires mounted in 2022, and a Uniroyal spare is stowed in the trunk with a center-cap removal tool. The MacPherson strut/semi-trailing arm suspension was revised for the M3 with a thicker rear stabilizer bar as well as shorter and stiffer springs. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with ABS.
The manually adjustable heated front sport seats and the rear bench are upholstered in black leather. Other appointments include power windows, mirrors, and locks in addition to air conditioning, cruise control, an onboard computer, and a BMW sound system wired to a Sony cassette stereo unit and a 10-disc CD changer in the trunk. An obsolete car phone is mounted on the center console.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 88k miles, approximately 38k of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.3-liter S14 inline-four was factory rated at 192 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The muffler was replaced in August 2022 and is pictured in additional photos of the underbody below.
A spare set of four TSW wheels with Falken Ziex ZE-502 tires accompanies the car along with manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a toolkit.
