The Diablo design was penned by Marcello Gandini, and the original production car was constructed with composite and aluminum bodywork. This example has been fitted with a 1998 Diablo GT-style carbon-fiber hood, fenders, bumpers, rocker panels, side skirts, engine cover, rear wing, and diffuser that were reportedly sourced through Lamborghini Dallas and installed approximately 13 years ago. A repaint in Lamborghini Balloon White was then carried out under previous ownership. Paint bubbles on one of the doors can be viewed in the gallery.
The fuel cap was moved to the top of the passenger quarter panel, and a Tubi-Style center-exit muffler has been added. Black staggered-width 18″ Work Meister S1 wheels wear Pirelli P Zero tires sized 245/35 up front and 335/30 out back. Red Lamborghini-branded brake calipers are mounted up front, while a Brembo rear big brake kit was installed under prior ownership. Cross-drilled rotors are featured all around.
Scissor doors open to reveal a cockpit trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with orange accents. A dashboard and seats from a Diablo 6.0 were installed under previous ownership along with a custom carbon-fiber center tunnel and trim. Amenities include electronic climate control, power windows, a JVC CD player, and a fire extinguisher. An on/off switch for the air conditioning compressor was added under previous ownership.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a custom carbon-fiber panel housing a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and a six-digit odometer showing just over 34k kilometers (~21k miles), approximately 100 kilometers of which have been added under current ownership. Gear changes are carried out using a gated dogleg shifter.
The 5.7-liter 48-valve V12 features an aluminum block and cylinder heads, each of which has dual overhead camshafts. The engine produced 485 horsepower at 7k rpm and 428 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm when new, and it is said to have been rebuilt in 2005.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear differential that has reportedly been fitted with a ring and pinion from a 1994 Diablo SE30. A new steering rack was installed under prior ownership.
