The 964 Turbo was introduced in 1990 as the successor to the 930, and it features widened bodywork, aerodynamic side mirrors, and a fixed rear wing. This example is finished in Guards Red (L80K) and features headlight washers, front fog lamps, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets. Staggered-width 17″ Cup alloy wheels are mounted with 215/45 front and 265/40 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires that show 2020 date codes. The Turbo came from the factory with uprated brakes, including larger calipers and cross-drilled rotors all around.
The cabin features power-adjustable Cashmere leather seats along with matching carpets and a black dashboard. Additional factory equipment includes automatic climate control, power accessories, Porsche-branded floor mats, and a Porsche CD-2 stereo that does not work. The window switch caps were recently replaced.
An airbag steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 28k miles.
The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a top-mounted intercooler. The engine was factory rated for 315 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. The oil and transaxle fluid were changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a G50/52 five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
The owner’s manual notes a warranty start date of March 16, 1991, and delivery to Porsche San Diego in California. The build sticker lists the following options:
