The design of the 348 was overseen by Pininfarina chief stylist Leonardo Fioravanti and was the final V8-powered Ferrari model developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a manually-retractable black convertible soft top, pop-up headlights, fog lights, side air intake strakes, louvered taillights, and quad exhaust tips. Paint blemishes on the front chin spoiler are shown in the gallery below.
The 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels wear yellow prancing horse center caps and 255/45 Continental ExtremeContact tires. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded calipers over ventilated discs along with an anti-lock system.
The cabin features two bolstered bucket seats upholstered in beige Connolly leather along with a matching lower dashboard, center console, and door panels. Equipment includes a dogleg-pattern gated shifter, air conditioning, power windows, and a Bluetooth-capable Alpine stereo that was installed under current ownership. The driver seat was redyed in May 2021, and worn driver-seat bolsters are shown in the gallery below along with a hole in the driver-side carpeted floor mat.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation consisting of a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer alongside gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. Auxiliary gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 25k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.4-liter quad-cam Tipo F119 V8 features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 312 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. An engine-out service at Norwood Auto Italia of Carrollton, Texas, in September 2022 included a reseal of the valve covers and the replacement of the timing belt, cam seals, and front hood shocks. The air conditioning system was also serviced and the coolant, engine oil, brake fluid, and clutch fluid were changed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The triple seals were replaced in preparation for the sale.
A Ferrari-branded attaché case is included in the sale along with a leather tool kit case, the owner’s manual, workshop manuals, and service records.
