Finished from the factory in Chaste White, the car was repainted in its current shade of white under previous ownership. The car features a glass sunroof, and it has been modified with an Evo R rear spoiler, aftermarket xenon headlights, tinted windows, and front turn signals and taillights sourced from a 1999 RX-7 as well as a Shine Auto front bumper, side skirts, and rear mudguards. Mounting holes for the factory rear spoiler have been filled, and wear is visible on the rear badging.
Staggered-width 18″ Work VS-XX multi-piece wheels are wrapped in 255/35 front and 285/30 rear Sumitomo HTR ZIII tires. The suspension has been modified with an aftermarket front strut tower brace, Stance adjustable coilovers, and SuperPro bushings. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with PowerStop pads and cross-drilled and slotted rotors. The tie rods and suspension bushings were reportedly replaced under previous ownership.
The cabin features black microsuede-upholstered bucket seats reportedly sourced from an RX-7 R1 along with replacement black carpets. Amenities include cruise control, an aftermarket shift knob, power accessories, and a Kenwood stereo with Kicker speakers. The air conditioning system is non-functional, and photos show discoloration on the driver’s door panel.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a central tachometer and a 180-mph speedometer along with gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. Aftermarket boost pressure and air-fuel ratio gauges are mounted on top of the dashboard. The instrument panel was repaired in 2018, reportedly due to a faulty light on the digital odometer, which currently shows 124k miles. Approximately 100 miles were added by the seller.
The turbocharged 1.3-liter 13B-REW Wankel rotary was rebuilt in 2018 with a half bridgeport, a ported housing, a balanced rotating assembly, and side-cut rotors. The coolant level sensor, water pump, thermostat, fuel filter, and primary injectors were replaced under previous ownership, and the 62mm Garrett turbocharger was replaced in June 2022. The seller notes that the car intermittently fails to start. Modifications include the following components:
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission fitted with an Exedy Hyper twin-disc clutch assembly and a Kaaz 1.5-way limited-slip differential. The transmission was rebuilt in 2018 by California Standard Transmission of Hayward, California. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
