The first generation Azure was developed in collaboration with Pininfarina and was based on the Continental R. This example is finished in silver and features widebody-specific side skirts, wheel arch flares, front fender vents, and bumper covers. Additional exterior details include a power-retractable gray soft top and matching boot as well as a mesh grille, a power antenna, and a single polished exhaust outlet. Work on the convertible top under current ownership is said to have included rebuilding the actuator and replacing the wiring and switches.
Chrome-plated 18″ five-spoke wheels wear older 285/45 Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tires. The car rides on an electronically controlled suspension system, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs with dual calipers at each front corner. The brake fluid was flushed in January 2023.
The heated and power-adjustable front bucket seats along with the rear bench are upholstered in gray leather, while woodgrain trim accents the color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and door panels. Additional appointments include embroidered headrests, front-seat position memory, power mirrors, and an aftermarket CD stereo linked to JL Audio speakers and trunk-mounted amplifiers. The air-conditioning refrigerant was recharged in March 2023, and cracks in the door-top wood trim are depicted in the gallery.
The leather- and wood-trimmed steering wheel frames a central information display flanked by a 170-mph speedometer on the left and a tachometer with a 4,500-rpm redline on the right. An analog clock and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, boost pressure, coolant temperature, outside temperature, voltage, and oil pressure are housed in the center of the dash. The digital odometer indicates 14k miles, approximately 700 of which were added under current ownership.
The 6.75-liter turbocharged V8 features a single Garrett turbocharger and was factory rated at 420 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque in Mulliner specification. Work in January 2023 included replacing the battery, flushing the coolant, and changing the oil, and the spark plugs, fuses, and belts are also said to have been replaced under current ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
