Polished 18″ aluminum wheels wear 235/50 BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS tires with 2006 production date codes. The car is equipped with the Ford Racing Handling Pack, which includes a strut tower brace, front and rear torsion bars, and revised front struts and rear shocks. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a contoured rear bench upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather upholstery. Amenities include cruise control, a cue ball-style shift knob, air conditioning, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, Hertz-branded sill plates, a commemorative dash plaque, and a Shaker 500 sound system with a six-disc CD changer.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 145-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 1,700 miles.
The 4.6-liter SOHC V8 was modified by Shelby with a Ford Racing air intake, a recalibrated engine control unit, and an exhaust system with an X-pipe. Power output was rated at 325 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque, which was increased by 25 horsepower over the contemporary Mustang GT.
A plaque fixed to the engine bay identifies this GT-H as #003 of 500 built for the 2006 model year.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.55:1 gearing.
A Shelby Automobiles invoice lists equipment and a total price of $8,166. Also included in the sale is a window sticker, a dealer invoice, a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin, a Hertz employee publication, memorabilia, and manufacturer’s literature.
