The SLR is built with a carbon-fiber monocoque and crash structures, and it features upward-opening butterfly doors, xenon headlights, integrated fog lights, heated mirrors, twin side-exhaust outlets behind each front wheel, a rear diffuser, and an electronically deployed combination rear spoiler and air brake. This example is finished in Crystal Galaxite Black, and the selling dealer states the hood struts, trunk struts, and door struts were recently replaced, and that paint correction was performed before the exterior was ceramic coated. There are fine scratches on the hood and a touched-up spot on the edge of the left door.
This is a re-list after the vehicle was sold previously on BaT in November 2022 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner has been banned from future participation on BaT and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.
Asymmetrical turbine-style 19″ alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 255/35 up front and 295/30 out back, which the selling dealer states were mounted in September 2022 along with replacement tire pressure monitor sensors. Stopping power is provided by silver Mercedes-Benz-branded calipers over carbon-ceramic rotors at all four corners, and the car is equipped with a Sensotronic Brake Control system (SBC) as well as forged double-wishbone suspension.
Black semi-aniline leather covers the power-adjustable carbon-fiber seats along with the center console, dashboard, and door panel inserts, while aluminum trim accents the cabin. The car is also equipped with a cassette stereo, a trunk-mounted CD changer, a seven-speaker Bose sound system, a shift-knob-mounted starter button, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The right sun visor mirror cover is detached and the securing clip is cracked, and the selling dealer notes a texture flaw in the left side of the headliner.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames McLaren-branded instrumentation including a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates under 2,700 miles, and the gauge cover is cracked.
The front-mid-mounted 5.4-liter M155 V8 was factory rated at 617 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque and features all-aluminum construction, 24 valves, dry-sump lubrication, and a Lysholm-type twin-screw supercharger.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift five-speed automatic transmission.
A reproduction window sticker listing delivery to Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables as well as a total retail price of $455,750 is included in the sale along with a Mercedes-Benz Quality Assurance Certificate, manufacturer’s literature, an SLR book, a VMI report, and two keys.
